The cryolipolysis procedure

What happens to the fat cells?

During the procedure, apoptosis of the fat cells is caused by what is known as cold exposure. This leads to the release of cytokines and other inflammatory mediators. In the months after use, the body's own inflammatory cells slowly and gradually break down the affected fat cells. Lipids are slowly released from fat cells and transported away by the lymphatic system for processing. Since the lipids go through a gradual breakdown process, no dangerous changes can be observed in liver function or blood lipids.

What happens during treatment?

Together with the person to be treated, you determine the areas to be treated. After an anamnesis to answer important questions and a professional explanation of the treatment process, the area to be treated is covered with a special cold protection fleece and the applicator is positioned accordingly. The vacuum in the applicator then pulls the fat pad up between the cooling units. A special program first heats the area to around 42 C to protect the skin. Depending on the nature of the area, you will feel a feeling of pressure and pulling. This subsides after about 2-3 minutes and is minimized by the pressure regulation and a special massage program of the vacuum. This ensures that the tissue can be cooled as efficiently and safely as possible. The treatment is completed after approx. 45 minutes.
