ALIX Shark 2 - Better and better ....
The Alix Shark 2 sets new standards in laser beauty technology. Why does it have 2 wavelengths? Why do they have different light?
The main reason is that lasers with different crystal types (Nd:YAG and alexandrite) emit light at different wavelengths, which affects their interaction with the skin and pigment. Alexandrite emits light that is better absorbed by melanin, resulting in a more intense effect on the hair follicles and therefore a more noticeable hair removal effect. Nd:YAG has a longer wavelength that penetrates deeper and is less effectively absorbed by melanin, which can create the impression of a "weaker" laser effect even at the same settings.
The flashes of light from the alexandrite laser are much easier to perceive as its wavelength (755 nm) is in the visible spectrum, in the red range, and the laser light is perceived by the human eye. This light is brightly visible and customers can perceive it as a more intense flash.
Meanwhile, the Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm) emits infrared light that is invisible to the eye. Its flash is not perceived visually, but it is felt on the skin as heat treatment or a slight tingling sensation during the treatment.
