How a HIFU device works
1. Targeted Ultrasound Energy • HIFU uses focused ultrasound waves that penetrate the top layer of skin without damaging it. • The energy is concentrated specifically in deeper layers of the skin (dermis & SMAS). 2. Heat Induction & Collagen Stimulation • The ultrasound energy generates heat of up to 65–70°C in the SMAS layer (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System). • This heat triggers a controlled healing process that stimulates collagen and elastin production. • This leads to skin tightening, firming, and lifting effects that build up over weeks. 3. Fat Cell Reduction with Body HIFU • In fat cell reduction treatments, fat cells are heated and destroyed by the ultrasound energy (lipolysis). • The body removes the destroyed fat cells via the lymphatic system.
